NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford detectives seized more than 200 grams of fentanyl and over $2,200 in cash during a city drug bust last week.

Police said on March 4, organized crime detectives arrested 31-year-old Jesus Gabriel Marrero Gaetan after searching his Babbitt Street apartment.

They allegedly found around 215 grams of fentanyl as well as $2,252 thought to be proceeds from illegal drug dealing, which was seized.

The detectives also allegedly found a digital scale and packaging materials.

No further details were disclosed.
