NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man faces several charges following a motor vehicle stop that turned up a significant amount of marijuana.

New Bedford Police say Narcotics Detectives had pulled over a vehicle in the area of 1 Parker Street just after 11:30 p.m. Monday after observing the driver commit several motor vehicle violations.

During questioning of the driver, police discovered 129.6 grams of marijuana in the car, along with about $1,500 in cash.

Police arrested the driver, Mason Kuliga, 18, of New Bedford. Kuliga is charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
