UPDATE: Jacob Larsen, 22, of Avon, has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal crash.

RAYNHAM (WBSM) — A New Bedford man was struck and killed on his motorcycle Friday night in Raynham.

Details of the Raynham Collision

According to a release from Raynham Police and Fire departments, both responded at about 9:40 p.m. on June 5 to a 911 call reporting a crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle at the intersection of South Street East and Hill Street.

Vehicles Involved in the Fatal Crash

They said preliminary investigation determined a 2010 Ford Explorer driven by a 22-year-old Avon man collided with a 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by a 52-year-old New Bedford man.

The New Bedford man was taken to Morton Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His identity has not been released.
