'You know what, it's not a slam dunk, but we'll put it in the hands of the jury and we'll let them decide."  --Mayor Jon Mitchell on Tiger King's Carole Baskin.

We got an update from Mayor Mitchell about the city's new order for all essential workers in the city to wear protective face asks.  Just before he got off the phone, however, he told me that he watched Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness on my recommendation. He said he really had no plans on watching all seven episodes, but it was "hard to walk away from it once you start taking a look at the lives of those crazy people."

I asked the former U.S. Attorney if he believed Carol Baskin killed her husband.

"Boy, I gotta tell you, she didn't seem to have a good explanation, and you could imagine her not doing so well under cross-examination," he said. "It's the kind of case where if you were a defense attorney, you'd probably feel compelled to put your client on the stand, I would think.

"That's a case where I think a lot of prosecutors would say, 'You know what? It's not a slam dunk, but we'll put it in the hands of the jury and we'll let them decide,'" he said.
