New Bedford Man Gets Life In Prison For Double Killing

A man from New Bedford has been given a life sentence for killing the mother of his four children in front of their 7-year-old son.
31-year-old Joel Hayden was convicted last month for the 2011 murder of his former girlfriend, and the murder of a long-time friend of his. The murders happened in Maine, and the sentence was handed down this afternoon in Portland.

During the trial, Hayden's son testified that he saw his father gun down his mother outside of her home.
