New Bedford Man Arrested on Second Drunk Driving Offense

NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man is arrested on his second drunk driving offense.

Police say after 1 a.m. Sunday morning they observed a vehicle swerving and nearly striking a parked car on Hathaway Street.

Upon further investigation, police determined that the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Police arrested the driver, Jose Santiago-Oyola, 48, and charged him with OUI liquor, second offense, marked lanes violation, and failure to signal.
