If I could take home every animal I met, I would, but the amount of love I have for animals doesn’t add up to the lack of space or funds I have.

Instead, I’ll spread the word about eligible pets that are up for adoption on the SouthCoast, and thanks to the help of local shelters, we give them a spotlight on Wet Nose Wednesday.

This week, we head to New Bedford where a handsome puppy is patiently waiting for a new beach buddy.

Meet Conner, a 3-year-old Bully mix that is 70 pounds of zoomies and love. He is new to the Lighthouse Animal Shelter family in New Bedford.

“We have all quickly become obsessed with his chunky potato face,” joked the shelter.

Conner’s favorite activities include playing with toys, hanging out with his best dog friend and swimming in the pool.

“This boy jumped right in the pool on his first day here,” the shelter said.

Conner knows how to sit and doesn’t jump up, but if you’re sitting down, be prepared to be tackled by a love fest of kisses.

This handsome boy has a big personality and loves to be outdoors. He’s great with other dogs and even cats. He does great in his crate.

“He is the full package,” said the shelter.

Does Conner sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Lighthouse Animal Shelter, like it on Facebook, and schedule a play date with your future best friend.
