Inside The Launch: Upcoming Cocktail Lounge at Moby Dick Brewing
Downtown New Bedford has a new cocktail lounge about to open in a familiar space and the vibes are already set.
From Private Events Space to Cocktail Lounge
Michael Warren, General Manager for Moby Dick Brewing Co., has been working on making what had previously been a private event space into a taproom-style cocktail lounge where you can unwind and enjoy some libations.
The cocktail lounge will be called The Launch, which isn't much of a surprise seeing as that's what the space has been titled since it was conceived over a year ago.
What to Expect on the Drink Menu
"The menu will be speakeasy, prohibition-era style classics with a few tiki-style cocktails and will definitely have a killer espresso martini," Warren said.
While the final menu is still getting its final touches, you can follow along on The Launch NB's Instagram for the latest updates and get some nice teasers of the space.

Opening Date and Hours at The Launch NB
The Launch NB is slated to open as a cocktail lounge on Thursday, August 21. Starting out, the hours of operation will be Wednesday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to midnight.
"Down the road, we might open during the day on Saturday and Sunday," Warren said.
Cocktail Lovers Won’t Want to Miss This
I think it's safe to say Downtown New Bedford has something for everyone, and I have a feeling that this space may be my new favorite spot. I'll need to try the espresso martini first to give you my full stamp of approval, but it sounds like it's definitely a spot worth checking out next time you head downtown.
