New Bedford Greenhouse Turns Christmas Trees Into Christmas Miracles
Last week, the SouthCoast wrapped its arms around the Poholek Family of Freetown after their Holiday Wish story aired on Fun 107 and WBSM. The outpouring of love, support, and generosity that followed was nothing short of incredible. Now, we’re keeping that momentum going in a small but meaningful way.
At the heart of that story is Christopher Poholek, a young man whose strength and resilience instantly struck a chord with our entire community. His journey has been filled with challenges no one should have to face, yet through it all, he continues to show incredible courage. What stood out most to me and so many listeners wasn’t just what Christopher has been through, but the undeniable love of his family and the quiet determination they carry every single day.

It’s the kind of story that reminds you how powerful kindness can be, and how much it matters when a community chooses to step up.
A Holiday Pop-Up With Heart at Klein’s
On Tuesday, December 9, I’ll be spending some time at Klein Greenhouse in New Bedford from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., bringing some Christmas cheer with holiday music and good vibes. During those two hours, Clive Olson of Klein’s has generously agreed to donate $5 from every Christmas tree sold directly to the Poholek family.

It’s simple: buy a tree, help a local family and feel good doing it.
Make a Memory, Start a Tradition.
If you haven’t picked out your Christmas tree yet, this is your moment. Bring the kids. Snap a photo. Start a new holiday tradition. Not only are you crossing a big holiday item off your list, you’re also directly helping Christopher and the Poholek family this season in a way that truly matters.

It may feel like a small gesture, but when a whole community shows up together, it becomes something much bigger.
Hope to see you Tuesday at Klein Greenhouse on Hathaway Road. Let’s turn Christmas trees into Christmas miracles.
