New Bedford Coffee Camper Rolls Out as Ground Floor Hits the Road
I'll admit that I'm a bit of a coffee snob and thoroughly enjoy a hot cup of java that was made from fresh beans. A hot caramel latte with oat milk on a raw rainy day is always a tasty vibe.
That being said, it's my pleasure to report that Ground Floor Coffee in New Bedford is taking its waterfront charm on the road – literally.
After a brief and back-breaking attempt at mobile service last year with a set of coffee carts, the New Bedford coffee shop quickly realized there had to be a better way.
“We expanded last year with coffee carts, but they were so heavy to move that we ended up only doing a couple events,” they said. “The biggest being the Outermost Roots and Blues Festival in Orleans. After that weekend we said, ‘Nope!’”
That’s when they turned to Aero Build, a Tennessee-based company that’s been crafting high-end mobile business trailers since 2017. The result? A sleek, custom-made coffee camper ready to roll.
The mobile café is expected to make its official debut on Friday, April 11 during an event for the New Bedford Film Festival. From there, Ground Floor Coffee is open to ideas for where the trailer should head next.
“We’re working on a few ideas for the summer but they’re not set yet, so we welcome any suggestions," they said.
As for what’s brewing inside the trailer?
Coffee lovers can expect all the favorites.
“Our menu will capture our most loved specialty lattes, our popular tea lattes and some freshly squeezed juices… to accommodate all audiences!” they said.
Stay tuned for updates on where this stylish little caffeine machine will pop up next.
