The residence is a two-story home at the corner of Chestnut and Robeson streets.

It is unclear if any people have been injured in the fire, although early reports indicate an unknown number of residents may have been inside the building at the time.

Ambulance crews were requested from Fairhaven and Acushnet.

This is a developing story, and more details will be added as they become available.
