Miss Cally Machado is a first grade teacher at the Betsey B. Winslow School in New Bedford.  Anyone familiar with Winslow can tell you that the school is chock full of culture and pride.  A big part of that positivity stems from Machado who puts her heart and soul into each and every day.

Nomination from Jamie Souza

"I believe Miss Machado should win Fun 107's Teacher of the Month because she is one of a kind.  She makes the day to day learning a lot of fun with her creative ways to teach.  The communication between her and the parents is clear and to the point.  All the children love her and are excited to go to school.

Recently, Miss Machado hosted a family engagement project where parents went into the school and assisted our children with the making of an igloo for arctic animals to stay safe during the winter months.

Miss Machado's passion and love for teaching shows, and I am forever thankful for her.  I only wish I had a teacher like her when I was a child.  Great job, Miss Machado!  Keep up the great work!  The kids love you!"

Congratulations to Miss Machado for being honored as Fun 107's Teacher of the Month.  Machado receives a $200 Amazon gift card and a 55 inch smart TV courtesy of Vermette Enterprise and V Corp.  Teacher of the Month is also presented by IZ Schwartz Appliance in Somerset and Greater New Bedford McDonald's.
