New Bedford Carnival Returns This Week With Policy on Minors in Place
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — The carnival is returning to New Bedford’s Near North End, and this year it will be enforcing its policy on minors in attendance that has been enacted during its shows at other SouthCoast locations.
Fiesta Shows is setting up shop at 730 Belleville Ave, the same spot where it held the carnival last year, in the parking lot between Titleist and Precix. It will take place from Thursday, June 5 through Sunday, June 8.
Unlike last year, however, Fiesta said its minor policy will be enforced. The minor policy was first put in place on the SouthCoast at the Dartmouth Mall carnival in 2024.

Fiesta Shows is also putting on a carnival in Plymouth on the same dates, but it is not advertising its minor policy as part of that carnival.
Fiesta Shows’ Minor Policy for the New Bedford Carnival
Any children between the ages of 13 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone that is 21 or older. Each adult can only chaperone up to four minors at one time; if your group is larger than that, you will need an additional chaperone for every four additional minors.
Fiesta also said “proof of age may be required for any guests,” and that accepted forms of identification include a driver’s license, non-driver ID card, passport, visa or military ID.
Whoever accompanies a minor must remain with them at all times and will be personally responsible for their behavior.
“Failure to comply will result in being denied initial admission or ejection from the event,” Fiesta said. “There are no exceptions. No refunds will be given if you are ejected from the event.”
What to Expect at the New Bedford Carnival
