We may just be heading into spring, but a fall adventure is already heating up in New Bedford. That's when mystery fans will be asked to save Alice from being trapped in Wonderland forever.

A company called CluedUpp Games is planning an escape room-style adventure throughout New Bedford on Oct. 15 that will put teams of six players to the test in breaking Alice free from Wonderland.

It sounds like an epic, immersive adventure that will turn the entire city into the game space.

Reading about this upcoming citywide adventure has me intrigued to know where it is going to take place. No exact location was revealed on the website, which just says the "streets of New Bedford will be transforming."

Presumably, Wonderland-themed decorations and props will have to be placed around town for those playing the game, so if you see white rabbits with pocket watches running around town, this event is why.

The CluedUpp Games site also mentions that tickets are limited, so not just anyone can hop into the game and play. You can start nabbing tickets now if you want to make sure you are in on this Alice in Wonderland-themed adventure, however.

I think I'd like a few more details on what exactly happens during this one-day event, but the description of the mystery does sound intriguing. The company writes:

"Solve clues which just get curiouser and curiouser, take on mad and mischievous challenges, and uncover a dark conspiracy at the heart of Wonderland."

Similar events have taken place in Newport and Providence already, so clearly, people love playing these citywide mystery games.
