More Snow Predicted For The Southcoast
The latest forecast from ABC 6 is calling for a little more snow than initially predicted on the Southcoast.
As the latest storm approaches, the predicted accumulation of snow in Southern New England has risen slightly.
ABC 6 meteorologist Jeff Desnoyers tells us that the 3-6" of snow will now more likely be 4-8" of snow for the Southcoast and Rhode Island.
Further out on the Cape, the range is more like 2-4"...but the winds will be higher and a High Wind Warning has been issued for that entire area.
The Southcoast won't be immune to more wind however...
Southeastern MA, Rhode Island and Connecticut are still under a Winter Storm Warning from 8 a.m. on Wednesday through 8 a.m. on Thursday. So if you need to travel tomorrow, try to leave as early as you can.
Desnoyers tells us that the heaviest snow will be coming Wednesday afternoon and into the evening, with gusty winds as well.
The storm will end by Thursday morning.
