Some of the typical signs of summer on the SouthCoast include traffic on the bridges, the “Now Open” sign at Water Wizz, and the busy lines outside of each town’s respective ice cream shop.

Now, the announcement that Mirasol’s Café in New Bedford is reopening for the season joins the list.

Last year, the hugely popular coffee shop expanded its brand from Dartmouth to the Wharfinger Building in downtown New Bedford, offering an express version of the original location.

In its second year, it aims to caffeinate the community that flocks to the waterfront in the warmer months.

While it’s a smaller version of the Dartmouth location, the Mirasol’s on Fisherman’s Wharf offers a convenience that Dartmouth lacks. Traveling down Route 6, especially during tourist season, is typically not an easy task.

SouthCoast coffee drinkers have voiced their desire over the years for Mirasol's to continue its expansion across the area, and it happily obliged last year with the express location.

Soon, Fairhaven will be the new spot to grab a CHiPPi, as the brand new Mirasol’s is scheduled to open its doors by the end of this year, equipped with an outdoor patio and drive-thru.

One thing is for certain: Mirasol’s has a cult-like following on the SouthCoast, and after taking one sip of any of their caffeinated concoctions, you’ll understand why.

Mirasol’s New Bedford location will reopen on Memorial Day Weekend, May 26th, and for those looking for a fun, summertime job, Mirasol’s Express wants to hear from you.
