
Middleboro Police Arrest Man on Attempted Murder Charges After Overnight Stabbing
MIDDLEBORO (WBSM) — A Middleboro man was arrested this afternoon in connection with an overnight stabbing.
Emergency Room Investigation Begins
According to Middleboro Police, officers responded to a local hospital at about 2:56 a.m. today after learning a person suffering from stab wounds had arrived at the emergency room.
The man’s injuries were determined to be serious but not life-threatening, police said.
Dramatic Arrest and Attempted Escape
The investigation revealed the stabbing occurred overnight on Miller Street, and the suspect was identified as Brandon Cain, 32, of Middleboro.
Police said that when officers tried to place him into custody at a residence on Southwick Street early this afternoon, Cain attempted to flee through a window. The officers deployed a Taser in order to apprehend him.

Severe Charges and Outstanding Warrants
Cain is charged with assault with intent to murder, five counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, and resisting arrest. He also had four outstanding warrants for his arrest. He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday, June 2 in Wareham District Court.
