Massachusetts’ Best Super Bowl Foods
Super Bowl LIX will see the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles go head-to-head in New Orleans.
While many wonder if the Chiefs or Eagles will hoist the Lombardi Trophy, others have a more important question on their minds: what's on the menu?
The site Coffeeness reviewed searches from December 2023 through March 2024 to determine what the country is consuming most.
There are some sweet and savory choices that are top picks in our area that you may see served at your Super Bowl party.
Most Popular Super Bowl Foods by State
Buffalo chicken dip reigns supreme in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In fact, it's the fan favorite in every New England and it dominates throughout the country with 29 states claiming the popular party dip as their number one choice.
Other items seen around the states include baked potatoes (typically on the West coast), hot dogs in Texas, poke bowls in Hawaii, deviled eggs in Alaska and baked ziti in New York.

Most Popular Super Bowl Desserts by State
If you have a sweet tooth, this next category is for you. After you finish off a plate of wings, dips, chili, chips, and more, make sure you leave room for dessert. Unlike the savory foods, this is where RI and MA differ.
Rhode Island's top dessert is the peanut butter blossom, a popular treat consisting of a peanut butter cookie with a Hershey's kiss pressed in the center.
Massachusetts, on the other hand, enjoys the coffee-soaked layered pastry that is tiramisu.
Both states have others that agree with their selected dessert, but the one that takes the cake is strawberry shortcake. 14 states selected it as their favorite, 13 love the p.b. blossoms, a handful of southern state chose chocolate covered strawberries and the northwest along with Alaska and Hawaii like banana bread.
