Watch out because the cows have come home, pigs are flying and hell must surely have frozen over. Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has uttered words of praise for President Donald Trump for his handling of the border crisis.

The same Maura Healey who, as Attorney General, visited Tijuana, Mexico during Trump's first term in 2019, denouncing in a Facebook video Trump's border policies that she called "incredibly sad," "incredibly heart-wrenching" and "absolutely un-American."

Healey filed 100 lawsuits challenging Trump's policies during his first term, several dealing with immigration issues.

As the saying goes, "It's a woman's prerogative to change her mind."

After spending billions in taxpayer money to shelter illegal immigrants in Massachusetts, Healey now insists she has long favored a closed southern border.

State House News Service reported that Healey told a press briefing, "I told President Biden that he needed to act on the border and shut it down two years ago, three years ago now."

I wonder if Biden remembers that conversation?

Healey also reportedly praised Trump's handling of the border crisis.

"I think that some of what Donald Trump has done on the border makes a lot of sense, right?" she said. "And the tightening there, right?"

Right! But wait, there is more.

"I won't get into specifics, but the general move and recognition that there needed to be more control brought to the border is absolutely correct," Healey said. "And certain things have been done that make a lot of sense."

However, Healey told a gaggle of reporters moments later that Trump has gone "too far" with the crackdown on criminal illegal aliens. "Going after people and taking them off the streets without due process" doesn't make sense, according to Healey.

ICE and Law Enforcement Team Up to Arrest Illegal Aliens

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other law enforcement partners have arrested 370 “alien offenders” during an “enhanced operation” in Massachusetts, including a man in New Bedford, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
