Manuel Branco, Longtime Dartmouth DPW Member Retiring
After more than 40 years with the Dartmouth Department of Public Works, Manuel Branco will leave his position on the board.
Branco began working with the DPW in 1972 as a consultant. He joined the department a year later as an engineer, and later became director.
After his retirement in 2000, he was asked to return as a DPW board member.
Select Board Chairman Shawn McDonald tells WBSM News the department will miss him as an employee, and as a person.
"Basically, Manny is the history of the DPW," McDonald said, "This town owes a huge amount of gratitude toward his service."
