WAREHAM — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a Wareham motel room early this morning.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said the 31-year-old man was found dead after officers conducted a well-being check on Wednesday.

He was found in a room at the Village Hotel at 2739 Cranberry Highway.

The victim was pronounced dead on scene, according to the D.A.'s office.

It is unclear if foul play is suspected.

Wareham police contacted state police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, who started an investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.

No further details have been released.
