Maine Mall’s Old Hollister Store Resurrects as Haunted House
The old Hollister location inside the Bangor Mall in Maine may be permanently closed to folks looking for all of today's modern, hip clothing, but the store is getting a spooky second chance at life this fall, and let's just say these folks understood the assignment.
Maineiac Manor, a brand new haunted house in the area, has been setting up shop in the old Hollister location, front porch and all. Yes, that means the creators of the haunted house took the unique style of a Hollister storefront and used it to their advantage, decorating it with plenty of spooky, black drapery and jack-o-lanterns.
On the inside, let's be honest, it probably won't look that much different because Hollister was always so dark, right? The dark will stick around, but now, plenty of haunts will be waiting around every corner as well, so much so that the experience is not recommended for kids under 13.
Maineiac Manor kicks off October 2 and will run every weekend throughout the month , from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. The haunted house will have special hours for Halloween hours, opening on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m. both days. Tickets cost $15.
The former Hollister location is not the only vacant spot in the Bangor Mall getting a spooky makeover this fall. Spirit Halloween took over the mall's former Victoria's Secret location, and we have to admit, it's an interesting choice, especially given how much pink remains on the walls.
