All three of Madonna's Boston tour dates have officially been cancelled on her doctor's orders.

If you had tickets to see Madonna at the Wang Theater next week, you are unfortunately out of luck.

The Material Girl has cancelled all three performances slated for Boston and has no intention of rescheduling them.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, it is literally only the Boston shows that are being affected by this "doctor's orders" cancellation. The show scheduled in Philadelphia on December 7th remains unaffected.

But alas, Boston's three performances are axed.

In a press release Madonna said of the cancellation,

Please forgive this unexpected turn of events, doing my show every night brings me so much joy and to cancel is a kind of punishment for me but the pain I’m in right now is overwhelming and I must rest and follow doctor’s orders so I can come back stronger and better and continue the Madame ❌ journey with all of you.

She won't be coming back to Boston though. The tour dates are said to be so tight there is simply no room to fit in make good shows.

So everyone who had tickets for the Wang Theater performances will get a full refund that will automatically go on the credit card used to purchase the tickets.

This could be good news for some however. The Madame X Tour has gotten mixed reviews and Madonna has been notoriously late for several performances, sometimes not taking the stage until well after midnight.

There's also no official word on what "pain" is keeping her from performing, but she did postpone an October show in Brooklyn for a knee injury so presumably this is more of the same.

Whatever the reason, I'd think she could still had added the Boston shows back at the end of the tour.

Disappointing for ticket holders I'm sure.
