Providence Performing Arts Center is hosting one of Broadway's most popular musicals this weekend, Les Misérables.

In case you didn't already know, I love the theatre and the PPAC seems to get all the amazing Broadway shows. The nationally touring show running this weekend has been a fan favorite for decades now and it sure to entertain.

Les Misérables, the stirring story of revolution and love in 19th century France, stacked a bunch of shows in Providence this week. Some single seats for the matinee and evening shows on Saturday and Sunday are still available.

The cast is absolutely phenomenal, earning rave reviews wherever they go. I was fortunate enough to grab a few minutes with Nick Cartell, who delivers a powerhouse performance as central character Jean Valjean.

Check out our fun chat.

Couldn't you just feel his energy? By the way, Nick called me after our interview to let me know that I was right. His wife did play a role in season three of Manifest. I'm sure he ended up in the doghouse for that one.

If you have never see Les Misérables, it's a must. For those of you who have seen it before, well, you know just how amazing it is. The musical is packed with songs that have seeped their way into the collective consciousness, including "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own" and "Do You Hear the People Sing?"
