The Celtics guard needs a second knee surgery and will miss the playoffs.

It feels like the Celtics haven't been fully healthy all season and they won't be for the rest of the season either. It was announced today that Celtics All-Star guard Kyrie Irving, the prized acquisition of the offseason, will miss the rest of the year, according to ESPN. The report says he'll need 4-5 months to recover, which should line him up to be ready to go for next year.

Kyrie also confirmed the report in an instagram post today.
