The “Kissing Soldier” has been making its way across the state of Rhode Island.

On Sunday, Rhode Island celebrated the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. Around 100 veterans attended the ceremony at the state’s World War II memorial in Providence.

Those at the ceremony were greeted by a 6 foot tall statue of the “Kissing Soldier,” which symbolized the end of the war.

According to ABC 6, the statue is currently traveling across the state visiting facilities so the veterans who could not attend Sunday’s ceremony could see it.
