Julian Edelman Apologizes For PED Suspension
Though he is still currently appealing the suspension for PED use that was made public Thursday afternoon, following the team's final mandatory mini-camp practice of the week, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has apologized.
Edelman started by simply saying "I am sorry." He followed up saying that he had no idea how he failed a test and that he has taken "many, many tests" without ever having this happen.
He concluded the message in his Instagram story by apologizing to the Kraft family, his teammates, his coaches and the fans and saying that, aside from the fact that he will be ready to go when his number is called, he can't comment further, due to the appeals process.
No final league ruling has come down yet, but most appeals ultimately prove to be fruitless. It is best to expect that the Pats will be without Edelman for the first four games of the 2018 season.
