Movie Filmed In Rochester, “Joy”, Has Released Trailer

Parts of the movie "Joy" were filmed here in Rochester.  The movies trailer has been released.  Can you spot any local places in the trailer?

Back in April the film crew of the movie "Joy" set up in Rochester. The crew filmed scenes along Vaughn Hill Road and Hartley Road. During filming a fire broke out on Vaughan Hill Road but filming continued as planned.

The movie "Joy", is starring some big names such as Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro. The movie is set around the life of the real Joy Mangano, an American entrepreneur. It tells the story of a family across four generations and the woman who rises to become founder and matriarch of a powerful family business dynasty.

Yesterday, the trailer for "Joy" was released and it looks like a few scenes in the trailer are set close to home in Rochester. The movie will be released in theaters on Christmas day this year. Hopefully we will be seeing a little bit of home in the final cut.
