Foot pursuit leads to the apprehension of a wanted fugitive.

While on patrol on Thursday, October 31, 2019, Dartmouth Police Officer Amanda Tavares observed a suspicious male posing as a trick-or-treater.

Having recalled information about a wanted fugitive who matched the description of the trick-or-treater, Officer Tavares cautiously approached him.

After positively identifying the trick-or-treater as the wanted fugitive, a foot pursuit ensued, resulting in the apprehension of the fugitive.

As a result of this incident, Jonah "Babyface" Lennox was taken into custody, and charged with being too darn cute.

According to Dartmouth Chief of Police Brian P. Levesque, "I am very pleased that Babyface was finally apprehended. Not only does this incident prove that my officers are constantly providing the highest level of service and protection to the members of this community, but it also gives everyone who reads this fake press release the opportunity to smile from ear-to-ear as Halloween 2019 winds down."

The Dartmouth Police Department certainly knows how to have fun with their Facebook page and connect with the community. I love seeing stuff like this on the internet. I hope everyone had a happy, healthy, and safe Halloween yesterday. The weather held off long enough for everyone to go out and enjoy trick-or-treating around the town. Let us know which neighborhoods had those really big candy bars. You know, just taking notes for next year.
