For the first time, you can sample more than 20 specialty whiskeys and help the Fort Taber/Fort Rodman Military Museum raise funds.

On Friday, June 2nd, the volunteers from New Bedford's Military Museum are putting on a whiskey tasting event at the Wamsutta Club in hopes of raising much needed funds for the Historical Association.

Douglass Wine & Spirits will be on hand with more than 20 specialty whiskeys for folks to “swirl, smell, sip, and swallow”  If you've never been to a whisky tasting before, this a great way to try new brands, compare different kinds of whiskey and learn how to pair them with the right food- just like wine!

The night will include 3 hours of unlimited (but responsible) whiskey sampling, live entertainment from world renowned guitarist and award winning composer Jim Robitaille, hot hor d'oeuvres, raffle prizes and more.

This event starts at 6pm on Friday, June 2nd and ends at 10pm (tastings will end at 9pm). Tickets are $40 in advance and can be purchased the Military Museum during normal operating hours (found here). RSVP to their event here.

** Tickets for this event are limited **
