It may not feel like winter in Massachusetts yet, but that isn't stopping Gillette Stadium from bringing back a family favorite activity to Patriots Place.

Strap on your skates this Thursday for the grand opening of Winter Skate at Patriots Place in an all-new location with freshly-designed skating path.

Forget skating around in ovals, Patriots Place has something totally new planned for this winter.

The looping track-like shape changes up traditional round and round skating and helps keep the flow of ice skaters from colliding.

The new course also has a new location, this season taking up space outside of Trader Joe's in Lot 12B of South Marketplace. The plan is to stay open 7 days a week throughout the winter months, though inclement weather may changes dates and times.
