Have you heard about the Hamilton lottery? It could score you tickets to a PPAC performance for only $10.

Hamilton is the hottest musical out there right now, and at the end of July it rolls into Providence for a nearly three weeks of shows.

And for every single one of those shows, there is a chance of scoring $10 seats.

The #HAM4HAM lottery is a digital lottery that puts 40 tickets for each show on sale a couple of days before the performance.

It's an amazing way to still see Hamilton without breaking the bank on tickets.

So here's what you need to do to win:

1. Download the official Hamilton App or visit hamiltonmusical.com/lottery

2. Two days prior to the performance you want to go see, get entered to win the tickets. The lottery will open at 11 a.m. two days before a show and close at 9 a.m. one day before a show (that means you have 22 hours to get entered).

3. Check your email and phone around 11 a.m. the day prior to the show you entered for to see if you've been selected to purchase the $10 tickets.

You do have to be 18 or older to enter the lottery and can only enter once per lottery.

Once you do win the lottery, you must buy your tickets online with a credit card and you have until 4 p.m. the day prior to the performance to make your purchase or you forfeit your tickets.

And all lottery tickets can be picked up at the box office two hours before show time.

Basically, they are trying to prevent people from using this awesome lottery to buy cheap tickets then turn around and sell them for hundreds of dollars, which I totally applaud.

It makes for a few hoops to jump through, but if you end up seeing the hottest show out there for only $10 when it's all said and done, it sounds worth it to me.
