Traffic around the Boston area is always congested on a daily basis but with Thanksgiving tomorrow it’s about to be a lot worse.

In addition to all of those living in the Boston area traveling, there will be the college kids traveling too. Trip Advisor performed a survey to predict what days and times travelers will be hitting the road.

Be prepared to for a long ride today...particularly if you are traveling on the Mass Pike to get to your Thanksgiving destination. According to the Weather Channel, the Mass Pike is the 2nd most congested road in the United States.

Seventy percent of the travelers in the Boston area will drive in peak-hours.

For those driving overnight this week, there will be free coffee served between 10pm and 5am at the eighteen MassDot service plazas...which can be clutch!

In terms of flying, the busiest days are expected to be today...and this coming Sunday (November 30)th, and Monday (December 1)st.

The two slowest travel days of the year are expected to be on Thanksgiving Day itself and on Black Friday.
