Devastating sickness has fallen upon a New Bedford child.

Giselle, a young local girl, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on September 21, 2018. At only 10 months old, Giselle started to develop breathing problems, soon escalating to an ambulance ride to Boston’s Children’s Hospital, ending with a terrible diagnosis.

This news has caused the family of the child great sorrow and sleepless nights.

On Sunday, November 18, the Club Sport Madeirense will be holding an event at 3 p.m. for Hope For Giselle.

The Hope For Giselle event will be raising money to help Giselle with her battle against leukemia. There will be food, music, raffles, games, and overall, a day full of great family fun.

Tickets for this event are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
