Honor Flight to Recognize Impactful Women Who Have Served
Rhode Island's next Honor Flight will be important.
According to SouthCoast Today, the Rhode Island Honor Flight is an organization that focuses on honoring veterans who have made a tremendous impact on our country. They celebrate and show appreciation for these veterans by flying them to view the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The upcoming honor flight will be on April 6 and it will include 24 veterans who have served throughout the years. The veterans who will be honored will be women ranging from age 47 to 96. These women have served wars such as World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and others.
The women will be able to check out the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery and other memorials around D.C.
