Grandma's Donuts and Coffee Shop in New Bedford has named a breakfast item after me and I couldn't be more grateful.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you know you've made it.

When a staple such as Grandma's (formerly known as Ma's before the donut drama went down) gives you your own breakfast sandwich with the name of your choice, you cherish that. I'm pretty sure Kelly Clarkson nailed it when she said, "Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this."

Without further ado, allow me to introduce to you "The Glazelle" breakfast sandwich, now on Grandma's menu.

I proposed the idea to the family and they agreed that it was worthy enough to sell to their customers. Again, what an honor.

First, you start with a warm, fresh, honey-dipped donut (Gazelle + Glazed = "Glazelle") and cut it in half. Next comes an egg, your choice of sausage or bacon, and cheese. Sandwich all of it between the two donut halves and bite down.

This caloric creation began one Sunday morning a few weeks back when I decided to eat in at Grandma's instead of taking my breakfast to go. I was craving a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich -- my usual go-to in the mornings -- but also couldn't leave without getting a honey-dipped donut. That's when I decided to ask for both and combine them. It's ooey and it's gooey, but let me tell you something: It's the perfect marriage between sweet and salty and I simply can't get enough of it.

At this time, you'll only be able to get this delicious creation on Sundays, but take my word, it's worth the wait.
