Gazelle Celebrates First Wedding Anniversary With Heartfelt Letter to Wife
In honor of my first wedding anniversary, I wrote a heartfelt letter to my wife, reflecting on our love and cherished memories.
For those who know us, it’s clear that while we are somewhat private, I love to shout my affection for her from the highest mountaintops whenever the opportunity presents itself. In this case, one year since we met at the alter.
This one’s for her.

To my wife,
It’s hard to believe that 365 days have passed since proudly saying “I do” to the most important question of my life.
Looking back, our time together as an official married couple has been nothing less than exciting and wonderfully comfortable. Comfortable in that warm feeling I get with every “I’m on my way home” text. Comfortable like our Sunday morning breakfast dates, and the comfort of coming home to our little homestead at the end of a long workday, filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals.
After all, it’s not how big the house is, but how happy the home (yes, I read and stole that from the sign on the living room wall).
Admittedly, we are the true definition of polar opposites, but in the most complementary way. Crossing paths initially was fate, but being married to you is truly a gift from God.
Seriously, how lucky am I?
Although we’re rounding five years since our first date/meet-up at the former Airport Grille in New Bedford, it still feels like yesterday that we swiped right on Tinder.
Forgive me for sounding cliché, but you are the rock that grounds me for all the right reasons, and the wings that lift me through thick and thin. I love our little family with our senior dog, Bella, and I love growing old with you.
From our first kiss in the New Bedford YMCA parking lot to the one that sealed the deal at the altar one year ago today, there’s no one else in this universe I’d want by my side but you.
Cheers to many more years of good morning texts, summertime bike rides, wineries at sunset, family dog walks and more. You not only make me a better person, but one hell of a proud husband.
I love you, always.
Happy Anniversary, Beautiful.
— Yours truly
