Catch E.T. (for free!) in Buttonwood Park on July 20 as part of New Bedford's Free Movie in the Park program.

One of the best parts of summer is being able to get OUTSIDE and do things that would normally be 'inside, rainy day' activities. That's why we love the summer movie series and Free Movie in the Park is returning to Buttonwood with a screening of E.T. on July 20. A rain date will be held on July 27.

The movie will be shown by the playground, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early as the movie starts around sundown (7:30-ish) and to bring their own chairs and blankets for the show.

For more info, you can check the Facebook event page here.

New Bedford is able to host these free showings in the park thanks to NB Parks, Recreation and Beaches and the United Way of Greater New Bedford.
