NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford narcotics unit arrested four people Monday during an investigation of street level narcotics sales in the north end of the city.

Police observed suspicious activity in a vehicle parked near Sawyer and Myrtle streets. The vehicle headed west onto Sawyer Street and was stopped by police near Malden and Harvard streets.

A small amount of crack cocaine was found in the vehicle.

Police made the following arrests:

Brian Boardman, 32, 86 Lussier St., Acushnet, possession of crack cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Kristen Lee Bess, 30, 199 Leonard St., Acushnet, possession of crack cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug laws, two warrant arrests.

Cassandra J. Camacho, 27, 86 Lussier St. Apt. 1, Acushnet, possession of crack cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Ryan Jay Boyer, 31, 199 Leonard St., Acushnet, possession of crack cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug laws.

The arrests were made at about 7:30 p.m.
