BLOUNT COUNTY, TN — A former high school football star from Dartmouth — who played for the University of Georgia before being signed to NFL teams — has been arrested in Tennessee on charges of sexual assault.

Arthur Lynch, 31, was taken into custody in Blount County and will be transferred to Chattanooga, where he was indicted by a grand jury for sexual assault, according to Chattanooga police.

The Dartmouth High School graduate signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2014 and then went on to sign with the Atlanta Falcons in 2016, although he ended up never playing an NFL game.
