The day has finally come. Food for Tots is back! Eat out at some of your favorite SouthCoast restaurants to help the Friends of Jack Foundation make world-class health care accessible to all of our kids here on the SouthCoast.

The Michael and Maddie show spoke with Jill Fearons, founder of the Friends of Jack Foundation, about this year’s event, what to expect at each restaurant, and what the rest of the year holds for this life-changing organization.

Food for Tots was given a makeover for Phase 2, dubbing it “Takeout for Tots." Now, the SouthCoast is back to indoor dining, allowing the original event to return, encouraging friends and family to come together and eat for a great cause. Jill gushed about participating locations, saying, “We’ve been so lucky because our restaurants really embraced this again.”

You don’t have to do anything or say anything, you just go to any of these participating locations and enjoy a delicious meal, knowing that your money is helping provide healthcare to SouthCoast children:

– Greasy Luck in New Bedford

– Tipsy Toboggan in Fall River

When asked about how healthcare has been for children in our community during COVID-19, Jill responded, “The ERs at the hospitals remarkably slowed down. On the good side, they didn’t need to go in, but the message that needs to be said is that they are open and ready for the pediatric population…it’s completely safe.”

Check out the official website for the Friends of Jack Foundation for more information on all of their upcoming events and be sure to make a reservation at one of the participating locations to show support for the children of the SouthCoast.
