FALL RIVER — A three-alarm fire ripped through a multi-family home in Fall River on New Year's Eve.

The Herald News reports Fall River firefighters responded to a fully involved, three-alarm fire at a multi-family home at 1545 rodman street around 9 pm Sunday night.

Crews from multiple area fire departments battled the blaze for hours in the frigid cold, dealing with frozen hydrants. Power was also reportedly out for much of the surrounding area, including into Westport, for a number of hours.

All residents got out safely.
