Get the costumes and kids ready for two great trick-or-treating events in New Bedford this month.

With Halloween falling on a Wednesday, it may not be so easy to take the kids out trick-or-treating this year (Not to mention the safety factor that many parents think of these days).

So with two great back-to-back safe trick-or-treating events happening right near each other in New Bedford the Saturday before Halloween, it could be the perfect time to get the candy your kids want without going all over.

On Saturday October 27th, the fun kicks off at 2 p.m. with the start of downtown New Bedford's trick-or-treat.

Parents and kids can head to participating businesses in their costumes collecting candy and enjoying festive store displays from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Then it's a quick trip over to the New Bedford YMCA on Water Street where their Trunk-or-Treat event will keep the candy flowing from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. with prizes for Best Costume too.

It's two great back-to-back Halloween events that the folks downtown are dubbing, Catch Us with Candy!

Parents can bring the kids and local businesses can still get in on giving out treats and decorating.

Learn more about the events at the Catch Us with Candy Facebook page.
