A comeback is a beautiful sight.

Two years after a devastating fire, Fall River Vision is ready to help the SouthCoast see once again. The business is settling into new digs. Rising from the ashes is a feat worth celebrating, which is exactly what Fall River Vision is about to do.

A grand opening party is set for Saturday, July 13. Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan will help cut the ribbon on the business, 3950 North Main Street, at noon. Visitors can tour the office, grab giveaways, buy half-off frames and sunglasses, cool down with ice cream and enjoy entertainment. The grand opening will also allow community members to meet Dr. Christina Herald, Dr. Douglas Posner and the whole optometry team. Fun 107's Maddie Levine will be on site to mark the occasion.

The event runs through 4 p.m.

Business halted in November 2022 following a fire at the Mariano Bishop Boulevard plaza where Fall River Vision was located. Damage made the building unsuitable for use.

"We ended up having to empty out the old office in the freezing cold dark," the business notes on its website. "At the time we also considered working out of a trailer but the parking lot was declared to be unsafe due to the building being unsound after the fire."

Now, all eyes are on the future and the future looks bright.

The new building was already set up for medical use, so Fall River Vision didn't have difficulty getting it ready.
