FALL RIVER — Fall River Police have released a photo of the suspect in last night's fatal shooting at the Rock Street Stop 'N Save, and are asking for the public's help in identifying him.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned man in his 20s or 30s, around 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a tattoo on his right hand near the inner portion of his thumb.

He was spotted on video surveillance wearing dark clothing with a gray backpack and gray Nike sneakers with black and white accents at the time of the shooting, just before 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

Stop 'N Save owner Lal Kishor Mahaseth, 54, was killed in the Oct. 18 shooting, and was found by a customer behind the counter of his shop.

Fall River Police and the Massachusetts State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the man pictured above.
