Another Wednesday, another pet I have the pleasure of sharing with you. Wet Nose Wednesday has become an exciting day of the week for the Michael and Maddie show. With the help of animal shelters on the SouthCoast, our goal is to get as many animals as adopted as possible.

We have dedicated Wednesday to giving adoptable pets in the area the spotlight, and this week, I’m excited to introduce you to Mila.

Mila is a two-year-old pit bull mix with a big personality. She arrived at Forever Paws in Fall River in March and patiently awaits her forever home. She is very food motivated (who isn’t?) and learns very quickly. Forever Paws expects her to get acclimated to her new home easily.

Mila has a big heart and likes to share her food, treats, and toys. Having a fenced-in yard would be a huge bonus for her future family to allow Mila total access to running around safely and releasing all her energy. Arianna Silva, Director at Forever Paws, recommends a family that owns their home and has older children, with no female dogs.

“Mila has met multiple dogs during her stay with us, and she is very selective,” Silva said. “She has done really well with smaller dogs, and done okay with calm, male dogs. With cats, she’s indifferent.”

Mila is a healthy dog that does well in her kennel, and is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

She would benefit from obedience class, which also works as a great bonding experience for her and her new owner.

If Mila sounds like she would be a great fit for your family, visit foreverpaws.com for details and send an application to asilva@foreverpaws.com.
