The Church of the Holy Spirit in Fall River will host a youth performing arts program that kicks off later this month.

The program is called Starmaker & Co., runs two evenings a week and will welcome children from third through eighth grades.

Two separate disciplines live under the Starmaker umbrella: a choir and multi-level dance troupes. Rehearsals are held in a newly refurbished theater space and adjoining dance studio.

The Rock Street church saw many children's arts programs disappear as a result of the pandemic in 2020. Starmaker & Co. hopes to help as many as 40 SouthCoast families get their children back into the arts and back on the stage.

The best part of Starmaker & Co. is there is no audition process for children to attend. Two performance seasons exist within the year, a Christmas revue and spring show. The spring show will begin rehearsals later this month and performances are set for June.

The cast membership fee is $50 per family with up to three cast members per household.

After some refurbishing (photos of the renovations below), the theater is now ready to welcome local children under the direction of Bill Lacey. More information is available by sending Lacey an email.
