Fall River Police Arrest Man for Alleged Armed Robbery
FALL RIVER (WBSM) — Fall River Police arrested a man on multiple charges after he allegedly robbed a man while armed with a knife.
Fall River Police said that just after midnight on Sunday, May 19, officers responded to 175 Milliken Boulevard for a reported armed robbery. Officers arrived to find a 34-year-old man who said he was robbed by another man with a knife.
Police said officers soon located a group of males on South Main Street, one of whom matched the description provided by the victim.
After investigating, officers took Brandon Medeiros, 40, into custody on charges of armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police said that while being transported to the police station for booking, Medeiros allegedly attempted to discard a small plastic bag containing suspected cocaine and fentanyl. Police added two counts of possession of a Class A drug to the charges against Medeiros.
