Three New Bedford Males Reportedly Detained in Fairhaven Feast Shooting
FAIRHAVEN (WBSM) — Three New Bedford males are reportedly in custody following a shooting at a feast in Fairhaven Sunday night.
According to Fairhaven Police Lt. Kevin Kobza, the department received a report of a shooting near the intersection of Main Street and Harding Road at about 9:20 p.m. this evening. The area was where the Our Lady of Angels Feast was taking place.
Kobza said that police arrived to find one victim who had suffered a gunshot wound. He said the person was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Fairhaven Police detained three people in connection with the investigation. Scanner reports indicated the three people were all males from New Bedford.
The shooting remains under investigation by Fairhaven Police and Massachusetts State Police attached to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
