Fairhaven Home Destroyed By Fire

A fire early this morning destroyed a waterfront home in Fairhaven.

The cottage was located at 36 Nelson Avenue. According to sources at the scene - this was a year-round residence. The home owners were staying elsewhere while the home was being worked on by contractors. The fire is under investigation. According to town records the property had an assessed value at $504,000

No injuries were reported.
